Brass Hose Barbs & Hose Connectors – NPT, NPTF & BSP/BSPT Threaded Fittings from India

Brass Hose Barbs and Hose Connectors are essential fluid handling components used to connect flexible hoses, tubing, and pipes in a wide range of industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Whether for water, compressed air, fuel, chemicals, or pneumatic systems, brass hose barb fittings provide a secure, leak-free connection between flexible hose and rigid pipe or equipment. Brass Neutral Links India manufactures and exports a comprehensive range of brass hose barbs, hose connectors, and hose fittings in NPT, NPTF, BSP, and BSPT thread forms to distributors, OEMs, and end-users across the USA, Canada, and globally.

Types of Brass Hose Barbs & Hose Connectors We Manufacture

Straight Brass Hose Barbs (Male & Female)

Straight hose barb fittings with a single barb end and NPT/BSP thread on the opposite end. Used to connect flexible hose to male or female pipe threads. Available in hose ID sizes from 3/16″ (5mm) to 2″ (50mm) with NPT thread sizes from 1/8″ NPT to 1½” NPT. Common for water, air, and low-pressure fuel lines.

Brass Hose Barb Elbows (90° & 45°)

Elbow hose barbs for directional changes in hose runs. Available in 90° and 45° versions with NPT, NPTF, BSP, or BSPT threads. Ideal for tight-space installations in machinery, automotive, HVAC, and agricultural equipment.

Brass Hose Barb Tees & Y-Connectors

Tee and wye fittings for splitting a single hose supply into two branches. Used in irrigation systems, coolant circuits, chemical dosing systems, and pneumatic manifolds.

Brass Push-On Hose Barbs (Barb × Barb)

Barb × barb connectors with barbed ends on both sides for joining two flexible hoses. Used in low-pressure water systems, fuel lines, and aquarium/pond equipment. Available in straight, elbow, tee, and cross configurations.

Brass Hose Nipples & Adapters

Hose nipples for connecting hose to equipment with NPT, BSP, or JIC (37° flare) connections. Double-male NPT hose nipples, hose barb-to-JIC adapters, and hose barb-to-compression adapters available.

Brass Hose End Fittings (GHT / Garden Hose Thread)

Garden hose thread (GHT) fittings — male and female 3/4″-11.5 NH (ASME B1.20.7) — for connecting garden hoses to faucets, sprinklers, valves, and hose barbs. Compatible with standard US garden hoses.

Swaged Hose Fittings (Reusable & Permanent)

Reusable field-attachable and factory-swaged brass hose end fittings for hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies rated to SAE 100R7/R8 pressures.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. What is the difference between NPT and NPTF threads on brass hose barbs?

A: NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads achieve a seal through thread engagement plus sealant (PTFE tape or pipe dope). NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel / Dryseal) threads are manufactured to tighter tolerances and are designed to create a pressure-tight seal without sealant, through metal-to-metal thread interference. NPTF is required in automotive fuel systems and hydraulic applications where sealant contamination is not acceptable.

Q2. What is the difference between BSP and NPT threads? Can they be mixed?

A: BSP (British Standard Pipe) uses a 55° thread angle, while NPT uses a 60° thread angle. The two thread forms are NOT interchangeable and should never be force-assembled. Using the wrong adapter can cause cross-threading or leak paths. We supply conversion adapters (NPT male to BSP female, etc.) for mixed-thread systems.

Q3. Do your brass hose barbs meet US RoHS and NSF requirements?

A: Yes. We offer both standard brass (C36000) and low-lead/NSF 61 compliant grades (C69300, C89520) for potable water applications. California Proposition 65 compliant versions are available. Please specify your compliance requirement when ordering.

Q4. What hose types are compatible with your brass barb fittings?

A: Our brass barb fittings are compatible with standard garden hose, PVC clear vinyl tubing, braided PVC hose, polyurethane hose, neoprene hose, and EPDM rubber hose. For high-pressure hydraulic hose (SAE 100R7/R8), our swaged hose end fittings are recommended.

Q5. Can you supply brass hose barbs with the barb sized for metric hose OD?

A: Yes. We manufacture barb fittings sized for both US hose ID sizes (3/16″, ¼”, 3/8″, ½”, ¾”, 1″) and metric hose IDs (6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 19mm, 25mm). Custom barb OD dimensions are available for special hose specifications.
